Data Access

These are an overview of the steps to be followed by a researcher willing to access a dataset for which he/she has been autorized.

Step 1: Generate a pair of Crypt4GH keys

First, generate a pair of Crypt4GH keys

crypt4gh-keygen \
   --pk <key name>-pk.key
   --sk <key name>-sk.key
   --nocrypt -C 'Sample requester key'

Step 2: ES-FEGA Node registration

Create a new Spanish FEGA Node Account. Just click the Register button and fill in the web form. You’ll be asked for:

  • A institutioanl email address (make sure it corresponds to the one appearing in the legal agreements

  • The public Crypt4GH key (<key name>-pk.key in the example above)

Step 3: Notify ES-FEGA

Please, send and email to es-fega.helpdesk@bsc.es to notify that you have successfully registered. They’ll prepare your data petition.
